ALL ABOUT ME

Rachel Lillian Barton

My name is Rachel Lillian Barton. I recently got married (October 15th, 2016) and it was the best day of my life! I was born in Dover, Delaware at Kent General Hospital on February 10th, 1995. Which means I am the best zodiac sign of it all, Aquarius!

My major at Delaware State University is Elementary Education. I chose this major because I want to inspire students the same way my teachers inspired me throughout grade-school. Plus, I believe education is the best way for students to individualize their learning skills and find their place in the world. I am half junior and half senior due to the classes I am taking. But next semester I will be finishing all of senior classes and hopefully student teaching by next fall semester.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Stoleson, my 2nd grade teacher at W.B. Simpson. She was my favorite teacher because she was the teacher who really got me excited to learn. In her class we raised Monarch butterflies from eggs to the actual butterfly. It was so fun and from then on science was interesting.
Olivia Pope, Kerry Washington, from Scandal inspires me because of how hard she works for her role in the show.
